Income Maintenance Caseworker II
Employees are responsible for determining and/or re-determining applicants' eligibility for the Food & Nutrition program in Clay County Department of Social Services. Work at this level includes such tasks as the interviewing of clients to obtain required information, completing initial applications, verify the information obtained, determining eligibility or completing scheduled program reviews. Employees must explain program requirements and options and advise or refer clients to other program services as appropriate. Other related duties as assigned. Employees usually report to an Income Maintenance Supervisor. Work is reviewed through conferences, evaluation of processed cases for accuracy and completeness of records.
Graduation from an accredited associate degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associate, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, or closely related curriculum; or graduation from high school and two years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which include negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling data, analysis of date and/or performance of mathematical or legal task with at least one year of such experience being in an income maintenance program. Social Worker III
Immediate opening for a Social Worker III in Foster Care. A Master's degree in Social Work or a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and 1 year of directly related experience or a 4 year degree with 3 years of directly related experience will be accepted. Water and Sewer Director
Responsible for the proper administration involving the operations, maintenance and construction of the County's water and sewer system infrastructure and all related business office activity including proper record keeping, customer billing, customer service vendor payments, general ledger transactions and financial reports per the Clay County and the Water and Sewer county policies. Manages the organization responsible for the proper collection of all water and waste water samples, sample analysis and the required inspection reporting functions. Manages the preparation of the annual water and sewer Consumer Confidence Reports. Prepares the yearly budget proposal to the County Manager. Manages the emergency response for call made relative to the District's water and sewer operations, including calls made after normal business hours during the week, as well as on weekends and holidays. Director is responsible for attending and presenting a report monthly to the Board of Commissioners. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all county policies and procedures. Education Requirements: 5 years experience in water and sewer utility management or equivalent environmental experience; must be licensed and in good standing with the State of NC as a C well operator, water water II operator, B distribution operator and a collections II operator. Other related duties as required.
