Overview
Clay County Government is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Community Paramedic position with the Clay County Health Department.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a trained navigator of community resources, connecting patients with agencies, programs, and services while reducing barriers to care. This position provides/facilitates services that are intended to improve the overall health, wellness, and quality of life of program participants.
The Community Paramedic will work collaboratively with healthcare providers, community organizations, social service agencies, and other stakeholders to address community health needs and improve access to care. This position will also support local efforts to mitigate opioid use disorder by helping connect individuals and families with treatment, recovery, and support services.
Additionally, the Community Paramedic will serve as a resource for Clay County's Post Overdose Response Team (PORT), assisting with outreach, education, follow-up, and resource coordination for individuals affected by substance use disorders.
Applicants must possess current Paramedic Certification, current CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid driver's license.
