The detention center is a modernized forty-two-bed facility that houses both male and female adult detainees. The Primary purpose of this position is to provide 24-hour secure custody and proper supervision of inmates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performing regular walkthrough inspections inside the housing units

• Round the clock observation and monitoring

• Escorting of inmates inside and outside the secure confines of the facility

• Serving meals

• Escorting medical staff and visitors to and from authorized areas

• Perform record keeping and report documenting as required

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age

• Have a valid driver's license

• Pass a pre-employment drug test

• Pass background check

• Have H.S. Diploma/GED

Salary and Benefits

• Starting annual salary for these positions is $34,631.00 (uncertified) and $36,363.00 (certified) - certification is NOT necessary to begin work
