Overview
Job Summary: Answer incoming 911, cellular and administrative phone calls and direct them to the correct agency to service the cal. Acandidate for this position must be detailed oriented with incoming information and keep detailed logs of al calls ni the 911 CAD computer system. Be familiar with the geographic area of Clay and surrounding counties. Make inquiries in the Division of Criminal Information Network, and E-Warrants.
Education: High School graduate or higher, must be able to obtain certification with the North Carolina Division of Criminal Information Network (DCI certification) within 120 days of
employment; Must obtain Telecommunicator, Emergency medical, fire and law enforcement certification within 6 months of employment.
Essential Job Functions: Ability to use multiple computers; must be able to multi-task; know and learn the 911 addressing system and geography of Clay County, ability to speak with a clear, well-modulated voice; ability to deal courteously and diplomatically with the public. May be assigned other related duties as needed or required.
